Miller Hill Townhomes

Miller Hill Townhomes consists of 67 townhomes in Portland’s Forest Heights neighborhood, initially constructed in the early 1990s. The community faced dry rot issues both under old siding, as well as under cement where the original builders did not adequately create a water barrier. The initial repair scope looked to perform a targeted repair, with selective cedar siding replacement. I&E was able to directly work with the HOA, developing a new scope that would give the Owners a complete restoration of their properties. This change included swapping the original cedar siding for Hardie lap siding, giving the townhomes a more modern design. Even with inclement weather, I&E restored the full envelope on schedule, including siding, windows, front entry, deck/porch, roofing, and painting.

Miller Hill Townhomes has continued to be a notable project for I&E, earning Finalist in the Major Renovations category for the DJC’s Top Projects of 2019.
